What can I gift through the gifting feature?
You can gift a digital Blank Street gift card. Choose the design, choose the amount, and add a personal message.
Who can I gift through the Blank Street app?
Anyone! In order to use a gift, the recipient will need to download the Blank Street app and create an account.
Please note: You cannot send a gift to yourself. To add money to your own account, top up your wallet instead.
How do I send a gift?
Open the Wallet page and tap Send gifts. Choose a gift card design, enter the amount and your recipient’s details, then add the gift card to your cart, pay, and check out.
You can also send a gift card from the gifting options at checkout, or from Settings > Buy Gift Cards.
Please note: You can add up to five recipients in one order, and each recipient receives their own personalised gift card with their own message. You can send a gift straight away or schedule it to arrive on a specific date and time.
How will my recipient receive their gift?
Your recipient will receive the gift by email or text message, depending on the contact details you enter. If they already have a Blank Street account, the gift will also appear in their app.
How do I redeem my gift?
Gifts can only be redeemed with the Blank Street app. It’s free to download and create an account.
- Create an account or sign in to the Blank Street app.
- Redeem from the email or text message, or from the message waiting in the app.
The balance is added to your wallet and is ready to use on your next order. To see it, tap Wallet.
What if my recipient doesn’t use it all in one order?
The remaining balance will be applied to their next purchase by default.
How long is my gift valid?
Gift cards do not expire, and neither does the balance once it is in your wallet.
Please note: Credits are a separate part of your wallet, and those expire one year from the date they are added unless stated otherwise.
Can I send a gift overseas?
No. A gift card can only be used in the country where it was bought. A gift card bought in the UK cannot be redeemed in the US, and a gift card bought in the US cannot be redeemed in the UK.
Why hasn’t my recipient received their gift?
Delivery can be impacted by incorrect emails or phone numbers, spam filters, corporate firewalls, and accidental deletions.
Your order confirmation email contains the gift card link, so you can copy it and share it with your recipient. In the app, you can also resend the gift, edit your recipient’s details, or reshare the link from the unclaimed gift card section.
If you still cannot find your order confirmation email, please contact customer support.
What happens to unclaimed gifts?
We will send reminders to your recipient, and then to you, in the weeks after the gift is sent. If the gift is still unclaimed after around eight weeks, it is refunded to you automatically.
Are there limits on how much I can send?
Yes. There are daily and weekly limits on gift card purchases, and the app will let you know when you are close to reaching one.
